I recently stopped in to check out the bakery and I was impressed with the variety of treats! They had glazed donuts, croissants, cinnamon rolls, bard, cookies, and cupcakes to name a few. I tried a few items, which were all delicious. Stop in if you can!

So close to four stars but I just couldn't do it. It's kind of in a weird location but I don't hold that against it. The inside decor is kind of grungy and dated which turned me off a bit. They didn't have a huge selection of treats to choose from but what they did have looked good. The things that looked the best were the cupcakes but we didn't get any this trip. We ended up getting a Bavarian cream filled croissant, a doughnut and a red velvet whoopie pie. They were all pretty good just very very sweet, and I've got a pretty major sweet tooth. Would I go back? Egh, I'd probably try and find a better place before coming back to here.

Small but legit. The hours are wonky so check to see if they are open. The customer service was fantastic, the guy talked me through me decision. Bakery items are a big decision for me and I always like to have help from the staff. He was very helpful and patient and friendly. I ended up getting a slice of peanut butter chocolate cake and a hot fudge sundae cupcake. Very good. A little dry on the cake but overall very yummy and beautiful. Prices are better than wsome bakeries for their cupcakes, I think mine was $2.40 instead of the $3 that some places like to charge. I highly recommend coming here.

We really enjoyed everything we got. The lady who helped us was very pleasant. A dozen donuts here are higher priced than a dozen donuts at a DD or equal, but the quality and variety make it worth it for sure. I WILL be going back!

Love taste of love...it all started with the Best cinnamon rolls ever, now I am in love with the filled crosants ! Always amazing and the pies are a huge hit at my family gatherings so I always bring dessert and go to Taste of love.

The only bad thing about this bakery is that it's open only two days a week. It's probably a good thing for our waistlines that this is the case. One piece of advice: Just park on the street. There's always some boob who's parked wrongly in front of the store. We've had lemon, almond joy, different kinds of chocolate, carrot cake and peeps cupcakes; all of which were DELICIOUS! We've also had a couple of the donuts and a cannoli just to try something different. Also quite tasty. This is certainly a neighborhood gem and we're glad that we found it. They have a revolving offering of baked goods from week to week, so there's always something new there when you visit. The staff is also very friendly and gives you the feel of an old neighborhood bakery. Even though we've got several cupcakes waiting for us, we're already talking of our next visit. Give Taste of Love Bakery a try. From what we've experienced, love is the main ingredient here.

To be honest, I wasn't sure what I wanted for my wedding. I was on the fence if I wanted a traditional wedding cake with 3 tiers or if I wanted a dessert bar with cupcakes and/or cake pops. I looked at several bakery websites and their gallery to see what kind of work they've created in the past. Taste of Love Bakery caught my eye the most so I set up a tasting. I really liked how smooth it went. After sampling 3 different cupcakes, I knew I was going to seal the deal with them. On the morning of my wedding, they took a lot of pressure off by delivering and setting up the cupcakes on the cupcake tier stands. All my guests raved about the cupcakes and asked where I got them. I would highly recommend going to Taste of Love Bakery for your next special occasion. From birthdays to weddings to baby showers, you will be glad you did.

I ordered a custom cake a while back for a baby shower, and just recently one for a bachelorette party. Both cakes where fantastic (both in appearance and taste) and were a huge hit at the parties. I would definitely recommend Taste of Love Bakery for anyone looking for a quality cake that tastes as good as it looks.

I like this little place. I don't have or even like kids, so... while I find the play area idea interesting, it's not my cup of tea. But that doesn't matter. They make tasty desserts. I went a couple times in their soft opening period and got cookies/sandwiches/tarts. The cookies were... far, far too crunchy for me (I'm a ridiculously soft cookie fan) but had a decent flavor. The tart was awesome. A friend of mine went and had a slice of their pumpkin cheesecake... she hasn't stopped raving about it. I'm a little forlorn that I didn't get to try it. I enjoy the concept of a small, pleasant little bakery in that part of town... and, unlike Granny's Donuts, the owners and employees here aren't giant assholes.

We put in an order for a cake for my daughter's baptism about two weeks before the event. They contacted me a couple of days later with ideas and options. When I changed my mind at the last minute, they came though with incredible service and grace. The cake was delivered on time, it was decorated perfectly, tasted delicious, and was a huge hit. I would gladly use them again for any of my baking or party needs. In fact, I may never bake a single thing ever again. That's how great they are.

I met Marie one night at a meeting that she hosted at her place of business. She shared her start up story, the highs and lows of owing your own business, etc. What I loved about her was how humbling and modest she is. I could go on and on about her, but her pastries were the star of the show! She and her baker Andrea made some delicious things and sent everyone home w/ a goodie bag at the end of the meeting. While they are only open Friday and Saturday to the public, I highly urge you all to go visit her shop! Place an order for a cake, even if you don't have a party, just so you can see the amazing baked confections they produce. I'm a culinary student, not a baker at all, and am amazed how easy these women make it look.

My family loves this place because the staff are super friendly and anything we get is delicious! Cake pops, lemon tarts, pecan rolls are our faves. You can tell that the bakers have a passion for tasty treats and love what they do!

We've had TWO family members call/ email multiple times to try and get a wedding cake ordered. No call backs!! No problem, we'll take our money elsewhere. Amazing that a small business has enough business to not bother calling back.

I'm not typically a big cake person, but this place is changing that once well-known fact. This bakery opened just before my son's 2nd birthday. I emailed the owner and asked what they could do for a Mickey Mouse cake, and when I arrived a few days later to pick it up, it was amazing! Not only was it beautiful, but one of the most moist and delicious cakes I've ever eaten. I will certainly be back...those cake pops and cupcakes were calling to me.

I brought my 2 sons here for donuts and they LOVED it. We bought some cupcakes to take home any they were FANTASTIC!

The baked goods I've had from them are pretty decent. Not the best, far from the worst. I don't think their product justifies their exorbitant prices, however. I've been to better bakeries with much more reasonable prices. I simply can't afford Taste of Love on a regular basis. And of course, their extremely limited hours make it difficult to actually get there at all.

Marie is very accommodating when taking your order. She makes some of the best desserts you could ask for. I have ordered martini cupcakes, cake pops, valentine's platter, christmas platter, halloween platter, energy bites and other specialty goods over the last half year. It's reasonably priced compared to other bakeries and she delivers! I believe the cake pops are the best! They are hand made and decorated! I will continue to order from her.

I hope that I caught them on a bad day, but we ordered Elmo cupcakes for my daughter's first birthday party, and we were a little disappointed. I went in to order, and the girl taking the order had no examples or pictures of things that were possible. It must have been her first time taking an order, because she was really not specific, and couldn't really offer suggestions either. I ended up doing 1 dozen fondant cupcakes (with pictures of Elmo on them) and 1 dozen red, blue, and yellow frosted cupcakes but the price was a bit rich for my taste... 2 dozen cupcakes for $43 dollars. Unfortunately, I have to say that I wished that I'd purchased cupcakes at the grocery store or just made them myself. They were fine, but not great, and weren't competitively priced. The frosting was not colored frosting, but painted, and the fondant pictures of Elmo had the colors bleeding into Elmo's face, so they weren't as cute as they were obviously supposed to be. I'm sad because I live in the area and I really wanted Taste of Love to be out-of-this-world-amazing. We have been back since to purchase other cupcakes and bakery items, and I must say that their specialty cupcakes were really tasty and there were many options (I wish I had known!)-- maybe our Elmo cupcakes were just a little old? On a seperate occasion, my parents-in-law had the idea that they would drop by and pick up a cake for my husband's birthday. They didn't realize that Taste of Love Bakery only does cakes by the order. They were really disappointed and we ended up purchasing a cake elsewhere. Like I said, I hope that we caught them on an off day, but we have had a pretty mixed experience with them. The owner has since called me and asked that I edit my review. I was originally wrong about the price of $60 that I had listed as the price for the cupcakes. I was also, according the owner, supposed to receive a free first birthday smash cake, which would have been really fun. She also offered to make it up to us with a future order. That sounds great, and I'm impressed with the power of Yelp, but after having been called and asked to edit this review, to be honest, I feel a little weird, and probably won't go back.

Because my partner has intolerance to Gluten, Dairy & Caffeine, I ordered a pretty unique cake. I requested the following "Gluten Free, Dairy Free & Chocolate Free cheesecake. Since chocolate cannot be used, I would love fresh fruits to be used (Strawberries, mango & blackberries)" Taste of Love not only came through with my crazy request but 20+ people at our party could not believe that the cheesecake they were eating was Gluten Free & Dairy Free. Marie, her business partner & all the staff at Taste of Love Bakery are absolutely brilliant! They have the passion & love for what they do....it shines through! PS - this was the first time in 7 years that my partner had cheesecake :-)

I was there for the grand opening, and like most it was crazy inside. Trying so many things at once makes it difficult to remember all. Yes, that ccc is delicious. I never had cake pops before and they were an experience. Mini samples of chocolate on a stick, gotta love that. I tried the carrot cake one and it was loaded with spice. This is a great hood for this place. Very child oriented. There is a lot behind the counter, as well as things to read on the board and they're patient when you order and ask ?, cool owners too.

I'm so excited this place opened by me! I had been watching them getting it ready for awhile, anticipating all the delicious goodies I would hopefully be able to get soon. They did not disappoint! The owner was super friendly and let me go back forth in trying to decide what to get. Ended up with a blueberry cream cheese muffin, which I cannot recommend enough! An orange knot, which was also good, but not my favorite. And sampled the strawberry oatmeal bar, also delicious! The parking "lot" is more than a little strange, lots of street parking available though. I was a little blinded by the sugar goodies so I didn't see a lot in the way of loaves of bread. That'll be the thing to check out next time. And probably another blueberry cream cheese muffin.

I'm still VERY happy with these gals. BUT, we gave them some ideas of cakes we liked and they said they'd send us their ideas for us to pick from. I had to follow up with them and then it was very vague and only in an email. Admittedly, I was pretty disappointed in how the cake looked - it was bulging in funny ways and the decorations were minimal and nothing special. However, the cake itself tasted fabulous and it's hard to complain when I have so many food allergies and they were happy to accomodate. Had I'd know it wasn't going to be very pretty, I may have gone with Angel Bakery since I know how there's would have looked (very pretty, but not fondant). I'd order from them again for cupcakes, etc.

Owners are very friendly and accommodating. Delicious caramel pecan role. Cozy vibe. Nice back room for hosting small meetings/parties.

I love the children's play area! We met some friends here for a play date, and the kids had such a great time playing, while us moms could just sit back and enjoy some yummy treats. There's a small slide, puzzles, a play kitchen (with cupcakes of course!), a train table, crayons & coloring books, and lots more for the kiddos! The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that all they have for parking is in the street, and with kids and snow-covered sidewalks, it's not the easiest getting in and out. Otherwise it's a great place!

I ordered a Dr Suess cake for a baby shower for my daughter-in-law, it was perfect and delicious. So many compliments, thanks for making the shower perfect!!

Hands down one of the best bakeries in the Twin Cities. Over the holidays I was at a gathering and someone brought an assortment of sweets from A Taste Of Love. I am hooked! Everything was incredible. Especially the chocolate chip cookie, which is undoubtedly the best chocolate chip cookie that I've ever had. Oh, and believe me brother, you won't find a tastier cake pop. They will haunt your soul. Don't change anything, this place is awesome.
